About Us

A Message from Bobbie

In this day and age of digital cell phone quick-takes and fast-paced social media news feeds, I find that we often overlook the intrinsic value of the printed photograph.

I invite you to pause from the frenetic world we live in to remember what’s important. Take a moment to celebrate your loved ones and capture them  — right now,  in this moment in time — as they truly are.

There’s something quite special when I am able to connect with another person on a deeper level, far beyond just documenting their physical likeness. It happens when my subject relates to me one-on-one that I am able to see their true nature as they relax into being themselves.

It is my belief that having physical portraits displayed in the home reminds us that we are deeply loved and valued. And shows the world who we really are.

"Finding a photographer isn't hard. Everyone knows someone who is a 'photographer'. I truly believe you get what you pay for. When you're ready to hang real portraits on your wall, you'll understand and pick Bobbie." Heather K.

What to Expect — Step by Step

1. Let’s Chat — Planning Your Session

The pre-planning process is when we discuss your hopes and desires for a successful portrait session. Together, we determine what’s most important to you and how we can best match your expectations. The pre-planning dialogue with Bobbie is simple to do and may take place over the phone, or in person with a scheduled appointment at the studio.

2. Let’s Create — Your Portrait Session

On the day of your portrait session, we are ready to begin when you arrive. Most portrait sessions last for approximately one hour (longer for newborn sessions) and yet we set aside a full hour and a half so that we won’t feel rushed. Your session is designed to be fun and relaxing — since we get the best expressions that way.

3. Let’s Choose Your Portraits — The Ordering Appointment

One week following your portrait session, we invite you back into the studio for your scheduled ordering appointment.  This is when we present you with the images from your session. It is an interactive process to guide you in selecting your favorite images and placing your order. We encourage all decision-makers to be present for the ordering appointment. Typically we recommend allowing an hour and a half for this appointment. And to help you select the proper size portrait to hang on your wall, see our guide to visualizing artwork on your walls.

4. The Best Part — Taking Your Portraits Home!

The most exciting time is when you get to take home your portraits and enjoy them. When your order is complete, we contact you to schedule a pick up time. It’s best to know when you will be coming by the studio in order to give you our fullest attention and to assist you with getting the larger pieces to your car. We’ll even deliver your portraits to your car door if it’s easier to leave the little ones in the car seat.
